Mother Science’s key ingredient is Malassezin, which is 10x more powerful than vitamin C in helping reduce and fade dark spots. Malassezin is a molecule that is naturally found on human skin. Mother Science used biotechnology to harness Malassezin’s ability to improve hyperpigmentation, strengthen your skin barrier and provide antioxidant protection.
- Most commonly-used skin-brightening ingredients are tyrosinase inhibitors and work by inhibiting the production of melanin (pigment) in your skin. Unfortunately these ingredients have been shown to have many side effects including irritation, and potential rebound pigmentation which can leave you with your dark spots worse than before. Malassezin is not a tyrosinase inhibitor and works on your skin through a new, safer mechanism to target hyperpigmentation without causing any rebound hyperpigmentation.

How often should I use Molecular Hero Serum?
It should be used morning and evening every day all over the face for optimal results. Consistent twice-daily use is key to rapidly fading the appearance of existing dark spots, and preventing new dark spots from forming.
